Greetings!
The Lord asks us in Matthew 5:44 to “love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.”
Sounds simple enough, but have you ever knelt down and prayed (sincerely) for the people in your life that you don’t like — or even those who infuriate you?
Better yet: have you ever offered sacrifices for them? Abstaining from meat on Friday for them, or giving up chocolate as a penance to pray for the conversion of their heart?
In all honesty, this is harder than it looks. But, in the end, our hearts are converted through these sacrifices as well. Let’s pray for our enemies together this week.
Yours in our Risen Lord,
