In today’s Refill:

Today is the feast of the Holy Innocents, the babies in Bethlehem who were killed because Herod feared the prophecy that a new king was born. It’s a very sad story, but the very first line of today’s Mass readings reminds us that even the worst darkness of our hearts cannot overcome Christ’s light:

“Beloved:
This is the message that we have heard from Jesus Christ
and proclaim to you:
God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.”
