Departing by bus from Fort Wayne, we make our way to Detroit Airport for our flight to Tel Aviv.

Sunday November 01, 2020          TEL AVIV/NETANYA
We arrive in Tel Aviv.  Upon arrival, we will be met by our escorts and travel to our hotel in Netanya for dinner and overnight.

Monday November 02, 2020                    NETANYA/CAESAREA/ NAZARETH / CANA/ TIBERIAS         
We begin our Holy Land pilgrimage with a visit to Caesarea, which was built by Herod as a major seaport at the time of Christ, was later occupied during the Byzantine and Crusader periods and contains ruins from all of these periods. Then we continue to Haifa, a modern seaport which is situated on the slopes of Mt. Carmel to see the mountain of Elijah, where we will visit Elijah’s cave and the cradle of the Carmelite Order at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Continuing on to Nazareth we celebrate your first Mass in the Holy Land at the Basilica of the Annunciation before visiting the churches commemorating the house of the holy family, Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s well.  We continue on to Cana and visit the church were Christ turned the water into wine before ending our day at our hotel in Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.

Tuesday November 03, 2020                    TIBERIAS/CAPERNAUM/MT. OF BEATITUDES
Today we enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee before driving to the northern end of the Sea of Galilee to visit the village of Capernaum at the site where Peter lived and Jesus performed much of his ministry in the Galilee. Here we visit an ancient synagogue, and a first century house and Byzantine Church which are now located under a modern Franciscan Church. Then we continue up the hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee to the beautiful Mount of Beatitudes where we have time for private prayer in the gardens before celebrating Mass at one of the outside altars overlooking the sea. We continue our visit by driving to the Church of the Primacy and the Benedictine Basilica commemorating the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes. We end our day of touring with a visit to the Jordan River and reflect on Jesus’ baptism by John and renew your baptismal promises. Finally, we return to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday November 04, 2020              TIBERIAS/MT. TABOR/SEBASTE / JACOBS WELL
This morning we leave the Sea of Galilee and drive to Mt. Tabor where we transfer to taxis for an exciting ride to the top of this mountain where tradition locates the site of the Transfiguration to celebrate Mass. Then we drive to Samaria, visit the excavations at Sebastian and the see the remains of the palace where Salome danced and asked for the head of John the Baptist. On to Nablus and see the Samaritan Synagogue and they will have on display the Pentateuch, which is the 5 books of Moses of the Old Testament, view Mt. Enbal and Mt. Gerizim, where the Samaritans celebrate the Feast of Passover. Stop at Jacob’s Well, where Christ conversed with the Samaritan woman. Dinner and overnight at Jerusalem.

Thursday November 05, 2020                 JERUSALEM: CHURCH OF VISITATION /BETHLEHEM / CHURCH OF THE NATIVITY / SHEPHERD’S FIELD / 
On the first day in Jerusalem, we head to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity then drive to the Shepherd’s Fields where the angels announced the birth of Jesus. Then we visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem that stands upon the site where Jesus was born.  Then we drive the village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St John the Baptist and to the Church of Visitation where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth, and proclaimed the ‘Magnificent’.

Friday November 06, 2020           STATIONS OF THE CROSS / CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE / ST ANNE’S CHURCH 
Early in the morning we retrace the last steps of Jesus. As we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross, we reflect on the greatness of His sacrifice. Finally, we arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher for Mass.  After breakfast at our hotel, we return to the Old City of Jerusalem to visit St. Anne’s Church, the home of the Virgin Mary and her parents Saints Joachim and Anne. We pass the Ecce Homo where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man”. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Saturday November 07, 2020       MT OLIVES / PATER NOSTER/ PALM SUNDAY / DOMINUS FLEVIT /GETHSEMANE/ ST. PETER IN GALICANTU
We begin our day on the Mt. of Olives to walk the Palm Sunday. We visit the Pater Noster with the Lord’s Prayer in many languages, and the Ascension from where ascended to Heaven. Route stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem.  Drive down to Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed His last prayer before his arrest and celebrate mass there. Visit the cave of betrayal then the cave of the Assumption of Mary to heaven.  Drive through the Kedron Valley to St. Peter in Galicantu where Peter denied Him thrice.  At the Cenacle we visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper. We finish the day at Dormition Abbey where we believe the Blessed Mary’s Dormition took place. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.

Sunday November 08, 2020 THE WILDERNESS: BETHANY / JERICHO / MT. TEMPTATION / DEAD SEA
We begin our day with a visit to Bethany where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Then we drive to the desert east of Jerusalem, which is rich in Christian tradition. Further east, just off the Roman road that Jesus ‘walked’, is Wadi Qelt gorge, site of the Monastery of St George. At the oasis town of Jericho, visit the excavations of the oldest city in the world and view Mt. Temptation where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan. On the way back there is time for a swim (or rather a float!) in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties. In the afternoon, there will be time for you to revisit some of your favorite sites and time for last minute buying of gifts for your loved ones. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.

CANCELATION POLICY:

-Outside of 90 days of departure: Full refund minus any items paid out on your behalf (these items can be a substantial percentage). 
-Between 90 and 45 days of departure: 50% refund minus items paid out on your behalf
-Within 45 days of departure: 10% refund (possible to transfer to another traveler – some exceptions apply)
-$150 of deposit is non-refundable
