Medical Trivia (Answer at 48:08) – On the Shroud of Turin, there is a large blood stain on the right side of the chest. This blood likely came from the heart but had to travel through the space between the lungs and the chest wall to reach the skin surface. What do we call this space between the lungs and chest wall that comes from the Greek word meaning “side” or “flank”? This space is important, because when fluid fills this area, breathing becomes significantly compromised.
