A Plan for Success

To become the best Catholic Radio Station in the country, we must continue to air the highest quality, most relevant programming, while also expanding our reach so that we can touch even more lives.

We have a clear vision of the future, and we have outlined the financial requirements for accomplishing our goals. Thanks to the generosity of a number of individuals who believe in Redeemer Radio, we are well on our way to reaching those goals. But, we also need YOUR help. We need your participation in Building Faith, Sharing Christ: The Campaign for Redeemer Radio. This Capital Campaign is for Redeemer Radio growth, and is separate from Sharathons which fund the daily operating expenses of the station.

Capital Campaign Goals

Retiring the Initial Investment – Before the station can expand to the next level,
we must repay the initial loan that helped launch Redeemer Radio. Prudence is one of the seven virtues and one we must practice in order to be good stewards of the Catholic faith. The station has already retired 30% of our loan in just four years. By repaying the remaining 70% of our loan ($450,000), the station could save $69,000 in principal and interest payments annually (2009).

Relocate and Equip Studio Space – The campaign is making possible a move from a crowded, inadequate facility to a location that provides the space necessary for expanding operations. In this newer and larger facility, additional state-of-the-art, digital equipment will allow the station to reach beyond its current coverage area.

Develop Local Programming – A local, community-centered daily program is a necessary step to adequately serve our Catholic community. The expansion of local programming will allow Redeemer Radio to serve as a strong, local resource for theentire community – both Catholic and non-Catholic.

Add an FM Noncommercial Station – Nearly 70% of broadcast radio listening is done on the FM band, putting our station at a distinct disadvantage. Although it will take several years for Redeemer Radio to expand to the FM band, planning for that expansion must begin now. Redeemer Radio and aligned organizations have applied for new noncommercial FM licenses within the surrounding area so that Redeemer Radio can expand its signal in the future to reach more listeners in the Diocese.

Building Organizational Capacity – Done correctly, our campaign will allow us to achieve increased capacity in development efforts that will last much longer than the end of the campaign.
