Every day we are bombarded by messages. Television, Internet, radio, billboards, newspaper…the list goes on and on. Many of these messages are in direct opposition to our Catholic faith. But, there is a safe refuge from the daily media storm – and that is Redeemer Radio, your local Catholic radio station.
What began in 2002 with the purchase of weekly airtime on a local commercial radio station to broadcast Catholic Answers Live, has grown into Redeemer Radio – a 24-hour a day, seven day a week, local Catholic radio station.
Today, Redeemer Radio is teaching thousands of people in the Fort Wayne area by presenting them with the full truth and beauty of the Catholic faith. Fallen-away Catholics are being brought back to the Church because of Redeemer Radio. Non-Catholics are being drawn to parish RCIA programs due to the truth they have heard through Redeemer Radio.
The station reaches thousands of people within an approximate 50-mile radius of Fort Wayne on AM 1450. In addition, we stream our programming live on the Internet everyday at www.RedeemerRadio.com. We feature quality national programs from the EWTN and Ave Maria networks, and we serve as a trusted source for information about the local Catholic community. Contributions from our loyal listeners and supporters have allowed us to provide these great programming options. As a not-for-profit, the station is completely dependent on financial support from listeners and the community.
Already a successful and popular station within the Fort Wayne community, our goal is not to simply continue as we are – it is to become the best Catholic Radio station in the country. Redeemer Radio receives no ongoing funding from the Diocese. So, we are turning to you – avid listeners, as well as those of you who are not yet familiar with our station – to assist us in raising the funds necessary to help Redeemer Radio share our message of Building Faith and Sharing Christ.
